Construction of Chanute High School was complete in 2008. It is located right off of US-169 making it easy to find as well as located directly across from Love's gas station as well as a Holiday Inn Express for travelers coming for different events. The CHS campus also features athletic facilities such as the Chanute Community Sports Complex where football, soccer and track and field events are held. There are also 6 full size tennis courts directly to the north of the complex that is accessible for public use. Chanute High School campus also includes 700 open parking spots as well as 25 handicap accessible parking.

Royster Middle School has been a long time historical school in the Chanute Community. Located centrally near historic downtown Chanute, Royster Middle School is within short distance of many ideal resources such as a grocery store, gas station, coffee shop, pharmacy as well as the old Royster Football Stadium. Designated bus parking can be found on the West side of the school on North Washington Avenue. Although guest parking seems limited at first, local businesses and establishments have kindly opened up their parking lots for event parking at the school.
