As one of our most versatile facilities, the Chanute High School Auditorium is used for events throughout the school district and community. This auditorium was built to have one of the most high quality, state of the art acoustic treatments along the walls and ceiling. Seating a total of 635 individuals in the ultra comfortable cushioned seats, people attending any event can feel at ease for long periods of time. Backstage of the Auditorium, you will find a men's on the East Wing and women's dressing room on the West Wing. Each of which have their own sink and makeup counters. Backstage also features ceilings that are 200' tall that house the Auditorium Fly System. This fly system consists of 15 bantams that holds many things such as curtains, lights and backdrops. The auditorium lighting system is ran off of an Express 48/96 lighting system controller. This system controls the 20 individual stage lights in the catwalk as well as the other 25 hung on bantams backstage. The sound quality in the Auditorium is also extra high quality. The surround sound speaker and subwoofer system is ran off of a Yamaha TF5 digital mixer with built-in Dante sound card from AVID. This mixer controls the 15 individual wireless microphone in the auditorium as well as the 20 stage built-in XLR ports and 4 stage monitor ports. The mixer also has capabilities of sending audio backstage to each of the dressing rooms and also the men and women's bathrooms in the commons area. Lastly, for videos, the Auditorium has a motorized drop-down projector screen mounted with an Epson Pro L1495U Laser Projector.
