LELC teachers were given a Thanksgiving selfie scavenger hunt, here are some of their submissions!

Please help us in saying THANK YOU to our Substitute teachers. Our schools would not be able to operate on a daily basis without these individuals allowing for continuity within our classrooms when our primary teachers must be absent for various reasons. Thank you to our subs!

In honor of American Education Week, our administrators and board members served all of our amazing staff breakfast this morning (and more to come tomorrow). This week is yet another reminder of the AMAZING staff that we have across the entire district.

How about a big round of applause for our Middle School District Honor Choir students?! As you can see, we have several students that brought back awards. We are so proud of our Royster MS Honor Choir students!

2nd grade went to the Wichita Zoo! This was the first field trip for these students to ever go on outside of Chanute. We appreciate the parents that were able to join us. Such a fun and amazing way to connect the learning in the classroom with a real-life experience outside!

Today continues our weeklong celebration of American Education Week. The work in our classrooms would not be possible without the amazing support of our paras/aides throughout the district. Please help us in saying THANK YOU to all Educational Support Paras/Aides.

Please help us in congratulating all of our Middle School All-District Band students. They brought home several amazing accolades, including two first-chair spots! Great job band students!

Mrs. Thompson's 5th grade class attended the Chanute Veterans Day parade last Friday. We are so thankful for opportunities like this for our students to be able to celebrate and honor our veterans. Again, thank you to all who served!

Please help us in honoring some individuals that truly do not receive nearly enough gratitude. We would like to officially say THANK YOU to all of veterans for their amazing service and sacrifice to this country. Thank you Veterans!

The Blue Pride Band attended all-district auditions earlier this week. We wanted to share the results of these amazing young men and women who are doing great work both in and out of the classroom. Great job Blue Pride Band members!

YOU ARE INVITED! Please join us on Friday at 8AM at RMS for our very special Veteran's Day Assembly. You won't be disappointed in the amazing ways that our students honor our very special veterans. We hope to see you there.

We would like to invite you all out to the CHS Commons tonight to the Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge Market Showcase. These are some of your former students doing great things. Great Christmas gift ideas! We hope you can all make it.

Don't forget to "Fall Back" on Sunday morning and reset your clocks as Daylight Savings Time will officially end for 2022. Enjoy your extra hour of rest!

Check out Mrs. Fox’s fourth grade class and their pen pals, the NCCC Women's basketball team, making Halloween crafts. Another great example of some positive adult role models for our students!

Ms. Behrens’ art class got to paint mini pumpkins to celebrate the start of “spooky season." Another great example of finding relevance to the holiday this week!

Mrs. Thompson's 5th grade students worked incredibly hard on their Native American projects. The projects have been on display in the hallways since the beginning of October. We have so many talented and creative young people who enjoyed learning about different cultures!!
